It wasn’t the best weather for it (rain threatening, a stiff breeze blowing, clouds lowering), but a batch of us made our way to Riverside Park for some fun on the grass. We also stopped by the grand Soldiers and Sailors Monument, a tribute to those who fought and fell in the Civil War. We trust our presence did not unduly disturb the spirits.
ETA: A little extra, for those video-loving souls who prefer their poetry in motion…
“Disturb the spirits”? Perhaps, but only in a good way, I’m pretty sure. ~ JBB
Yep, definitely Willow. Sometime around Season 5. Makes me wonder what the tattoos spell.
I was thinking that she looked a little like Alysson Hannigan.
What a beautiful view!. I’m sure the soldiers would appreciate you enjoying the freedoms they fought for.
verry nice..
It looks like everyone had a good time despite the weather.

One of these photos gives new meaning to the phrase “lucky dog”–also the phrase “lucky little black bikini panties”–that is a phrase, isn’t it?
Reblogged this on home clothes free and commented:
Did you read any civil war fiction to honor the spirits?
Too bad Georgia doesn’t allow this! I applaud you ladies & would like to say keep it up!
I’m quite sure the soldiers and sailors were grateful for such nice and interested company. Enjoy your week!
Great pics as usual, looks like a fabulous outing. Kind of late notice but wondered if you had heard of this http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/tlg/3928772813.html, and what you thought of it?
I seem to remember seeing something about it a year or so ago. I wonder how real it is.
I can’t speak for the sincerity of their politics, but the trailer is interesting.
I would like your posts to not just be how you look while you are reading, and how you feel while you are reading, but it would be nice if you listed the books that you are actually reading and maybe even LINKS to them on Amazon or Barnes and Noble or GoodReads. Maybe even TINY one sentence synopsis, reviews or recommendations for what is being read. Maybe there is more about the READING aspect of this blog in other posts. I will go looking.
There are ways to set up your blog so that you receive a TINY percentage of sales generated on Amazon from links that you provide. Maybe that would sully the purity of just sharing the joy of reading for the sake of reading.
We don’t always, but we do sometimes list the books we’re reading, with links to Amazon. For instance, look at the link for one of our recent rooftop events.
I like the idea of the ladies doing mini-reviews of some of the books. I’m just getting into pulp fiction & so far about all I’ve read is a couple Shadow novels. It’d be cool to get ideas on new reads!
Have mosquito bites ever been a problem for your merry band?
Nope. Once in a while a big bee has come to visit when we’ve been on our favorite rooftop, but otherwise no interesting insect stories.
How do you like Tom Robbins novels?
