Most of our trips to the park are characterized by an extreme lack of physical exercise. Oh, we have some fit people in the group — some very fit people, in fact. Our pole dancing adventure revealed that. But fitness isn’t what we do when we get together.
But when we saw Tim here, working out with a TRX rig in the park we’d chosen as the site for our latest exercise in courageous sloth…
…we had to give it a try ourselves.
Speaking of sloth (or Sloth, I guess, with the all Jesuitical implications that capital letter confers), we also shared the park with artist Alana Jade Ramnarine, who was working on one of her Seven Deadly Sins pieces, which have been cropping up around lower Manhattan. This one was Sloth.
Now, how being dead counts as being slothful, I don’t know — it seems like adding insult to injury to call the poor woman a sinner on top of everything else she’s suffering in that picture. But maybe it’s the man who’s being called slothful. Since he’s just standing there and all. Didn’t protect her, isn’t avenging her. Maybe? Anyway, it’s a gorgeous piece of art, and an excellent book.
The rest of the afternoon passed in sun-dappled splendor.
There’s nothing quite like coming to a little green patch in the center of a towering metropolis and undressing to lounge about in the grass.
If you’ve never had the pleasure yourself…the exhilaration of taking off that layer and just enjoying, in the open air, being the woman you are underneath…well, the summer’s not over yet. Write to us at toplesspulpfiction@gmail.com and we’ll give you the chance to experience it.
If you’re thinking about it, finger hovering over the Send button…just do it.
Don’t keep us in suspense. 🙂
Now that guy in the first pic is gorgeous! Thank you for that one!
Love your outings… Reading, fitness, the beach… Will any of you be in the Buffalo area on GoTopFree day.., August 28th..? Maybe you’d like to help the cause at this end of the state too..? I can use a little help from women with a more positive attitude than the still somewhat fearful but hopeful women in my area… We still need icebreakers…
Who would like to play Johanna Nippleseed… Ha..! I just made that up and and I couldn’t not use it… lol But please keep me in mind if you’re here any time in the future. I’ll be happy to host you.., and to arrange an outing with some of our local advocates too.
Many thanks…

I’m sorry, but no — none of us are going to be in Buffalo any time soon.
enjoy the lovely weather, ladies, same as men do! Good luck spreading this very rational practice.
“The rest of the afternoon passed in sun-dappled splendor.”
OK, I apologize for this in advance, but someone’s got to say it: splendor in the grass. No question—image #9 confirms it.
Great, as always. Thanks for sharing these scenes.
Better still — Don’t keep yourself in suspense! Go topless!
What did you think of the TRX rig? I haven’t seen one.
Not as much resistance as we expected? The straps aren’t elastic. But they offer an interesting new option for some old familiar exercises. And they look cool. 🙂
