Usually we meet as a group: we choose a day, head to a park or plaza, and hang out topless in the sun together. Safety in numbers, and also it’s more fun to hang out in the park with friends than by yourself. But sometimes there’s no one else around and you just feel like heading out for a walk on your own.
A case in point was the recent rainy morning you see here. It wound up being bright and sunny in the afternoon, but you wouldn’t have guessed by the way the wet stuff was pouring down in torrents during morning rush hour. But that’s what raincoats and umbrellas are made for, and if you’re thinking, “How can you wear a raincoat and go topless at the same time?”, you clearly haven’t found the right raincoat.
The morning’s stroll took us along the Upper East side, past stores and storied apartment buildings–
–and on to Carl Schurz Park, home to some of the finest dog runs in Manhattan…
…a beautiful riverside promenade…
…and Gracie Mansion, where the mayor lives. (Didn’t snap any photos there. Next time.)
This seems finally to have been the end of warm weather for the season — it’s brisk and chilly now and seems likely to remain so until the Spring. If so, we’re doubly glad we took advantage of the warm weather while it lasted, even if doing so meant braving the elements.
Next time — indoors! And we have many exciting indoor events planned. If you’re curious about them and you’re a body positive woman in the New York area, we’d love to hear from you. Just drop a note to toplesspulpfiction@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself. We’ll be glad to invite you to join us for our adventures.
Not that it isn’t fun doing it solo, too…
Wow, she’s stunning!! Great set 🙂
Fantastic!!!! I may be an old coot, but my wife and I are great supporters of all of what you are doing. Keep it up!!!!

Of all your photo sets, this is the most appealing, evocative, artistic and , well, wondrous. This is a memorable and special thing.
Beautiful pictures. Thank you.
Brings new meaning to the line….
“I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day,
when it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May.”
I think you are gorgeous, and the photos are composed well, but let’s be fair. If a male were to walk about the City wearing only a ribbon and a transparent raincoat, how long would it be before he was in police custody? I don’t think there is any equality there.
1) She wasn’t wearing only a ribbon and a raincoat. It might look like a ribbon from some angles, but it’s a pair of underwear. Thong-y in back, it’s true, but it covers the essentials.
2) If a man walked around in a thong and transparent raincoat, it might lead to some raised eyebrows, but shouldn’t lead to an arrest. What law would he be breaking?
This post begs the question about what are the laws regarding skin exposure in public. Is a thong permitted? Is pubic hair permitted? The model certainly is brave for tempting fate if the law states that a certain “percentage” of the buttocks be covered or pubic mound be covered. That being said, this post has really been a great example of photographic art and thank you for sharing.
Thongs are clearly fine, you see them all the time. I don’t see how hair could be prohibited (and we have never seen a law that singles out hair for prohibition). A woman with extensive pubic hair could easily have hair showing around the edges of any swimsuit bottom.
Gorgeous.
Oh my goodness !! So beautiful and daring. Love it !!! ❤
Great pictures, I always enjoy the updates when posted / emailed.
Looking forward to next group outing, I would apply to join but, while body positive, I am male.
The safety in numbers comment is both smart and sad, keep making a difference and let the world catch up to you.
As already stated, a great set of photos and an inspiring occasion!. Who was the lucky photographer?
Just another member. 🙂
Because she is so photogenic and appears so often and so relaxed, I’d really like to have a name for her. It doesn’t have to be her real name. I just want to be able to refer to her by name, rather than the artificial “her.”
If it’s important to you that you have a name to use for one of us but you don’t care if it’s her real name, why don’t you just make one up yourself?
I fear you misunderstood my request regarding a name.
I’ll withdraw my request.
Wasn’t there someone topless and in a raincoat in the first Blade Runner movie?
Yep, believe so. Joanna Cassidy?
Stunning! LOVE the glasses. The human body truly is a work of art in the ultimate sense. Thank you to this individual for her attitude and sharing of of such visual beauty.
I think the lead off photograph in this posting is one of the most artistically stunning of all your work. The look of determination and dedication to the cause shines through in the model’s eyes and attitude, and the wind blown hair adds a sense of wreckless, wonton freedom. Bravo !
Thanks, Thom. We were tempted to fix the spelling in your comment, but there’s something wonderful about the image of a wreckless wonton.
Where does she keep her wallet and keys?
Ah, the mysteries of life.
As I always say, love the photography, use of location and the members. This young lady has to be my favorite. Just a great classy look. Reminds me of Betty Page. Thank you for sharing.
Ladies in red. I obviously have a penchant I hadn’t realised.
Splendid photos, gorgeous subject.
I remain convinced that there is no greater beauty on Earth than the human female form. This pictorial is one of the most gorgeous proofs imaginable of that opinion. I enjoy all of your posts, but must say this one is special. Thank you for your having shared it.
That’s totally awesome and the pics are priceless
