And so we come to the end of another year — another wonderful, awful year. Awful in so many dimensions: geopolitical, economic, ecological, human rights, basic civility. And yet. And yet, we spent the year with friends and loved ones, and we exercised our freedoms together, and we treated others and were treated ourselves with respect. In this milestone year when we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the court decision establishing that women in New York have the same right as men to go topless, we went topless enthusiastically and without incident, all over this great city of ours. It was fun, it was refreshing, it was healthy, and it was legal.
And you — you came to our blog from virtually every country on the face of the globe and you witnessed our liberty and shared in our adventures. What follows is a distillation of the year’s events, based on which of our photos you clicked on most. These were our most popular images of the year — and some of our favorites too.
We hope you’ll enjoy revisiting these memories, and maybe next spring, when it warms up again, will join us to make new ones.
Without further ado, the top ten images from our out-and-about-in-the-city’s-parks adventures:
And the top ten from our visits to our favorite rooftop sanctuaries…
And for good measure, a few from other events around NYC:
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Also now the daylight hours are getting longer.

A fantastic year. Wishing you all an even better nude year. Want a little break from the cold? Come on down to Blind Creek Beach on South Hutchison Island in Florida. It’s a great clothing optional beach. Friendly people, very laid back.
It’s great knowing that you folks are out there enjoying yourselves.
Just so gorgeous, lovely, all the while doing the public service of breaking down the taboos that shame us for our bodies. I well recall the posting too, where you declared “private parts” were not taboo photographic subjects in your private gatherings either and posted more of those photos, several of which were reposted here. Thank you for a great year in pictures.
The clicks are in, and the butterfly (or is it a moth?) wins! But then the images are all winners, as are their subjects. Thanks for sharing them.

The good laws, that is simple and clear laws, have the advantage of favoring social evolution, of course they are not enough, the difficulties and resistance still remain many, still serve people who expose themselves in the first person, who become protagonists and stimulate, even with provocation, others to think and meditate, essential bases for each individual and social evolution. This has been and are making these fantastic women, women who should be taken as an example.
Too bad that in Italy, with the obvious complicity of naturist associations, the laws on the nude must be contorted and limiting, rather than simple and guaranteed; pity that in Italy, with the complicity of those who spread the false verb of unilateral respect, few are those willing to get involved and expose themselves, sin!
In any case, for those few who hope to grow up, we are here and we are waiting for you.
Wonderful to see how the absence of clothes can warm body and soul on a cold winter’s day. A very happy Christmas and a good New Year to all you lovely ladies.
Merci de nous faire partager votre esprit libre. Bonne année 2018.
Thanks for your continued efforts to normalise bodies, and breasts in particular. At times it feels like fighting a losing battle, especially with this little episode here in New Zealand at present (see below). I have always liked the analogy one of you here made a year or three ago to the way nobody ever charges up to someone with an ice cream and helps themselves to it. So what it proves is that the issues around sexualising breasts are not about individual restraint or desire, but about cultural attitudes that need to change. Hat tip to you guys for that analogy, and thanks for trying to change these deeply entrenched old attitudes 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/nzherald.co.nz/posts/10155161382111302?comment_id=10155161503946302
Sadly the Facebook post I referenced was removed – not sure whether by Facebook, or the local newspaper who felt the comments were getting out of hand. Essentially two women decided to go topless except for glitter on their breasts, and video has gone viral of a man “helping himself” to a grope, then getting punched and slapped by the women. As usual, the comments on the article are much more revealing and distasteful than any of the chests…
