As we approach the end of our our 8th turn of the calendar, it’s fun to look back on years gone by — especially when it’s too cold outside to make a lot of new memories. We thought it would be fun to look back at our site’s logs and see which photos have caught your eye the most, judging by how many times you, our visitors, clicked on them.
Here’s our most eye-catching visit to the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park:
…and the lawn by the boat pond:
…and of course Sheep Meadow (we love Central Park!):
We also love Washington Square Park, where this was apparently our most eye-catching snapshot:
…though this came in a close second:
…and Prospect Park, in Brooklyn:
Speaking of Central Park and Prospect Park, here’s our most eye-catching curtain call after performing The Tempest in the former:
Our most eye-catching visit to the Statue of Liberty:
…and to the New York Public Library:
Behind the library, there’s Bryant Park, where this is our most popular seated photo:
…and this our most popular standing one:
Our most eye-catching visits to our favorite rooftop sundeck:
…and to an Upper West Side rooftop we visited only once (the neighbors were scandalized):
Our most eye-catching visit to a spa:
…and to the pool at the Dream Hotel:
Mt. Tom, the giant boulder in Riverside Park, called to us:
…and so did the Hudson waterfront:
Our most eye-catching Halloween (this was at Lincoln Center):
Our most popular image eating pizza:
…and our most eye-catching earrings:
Our most popular photo illustrating that we are, in fact, a co-ed group:
…and our most popular illustration that co-ed is overrated:
The most eye-catching time a random stranger decided to join in:
…and the most eye-catching time a random stranger’s eye was caught:
To finish, our most eye-catching snow day!
More to come — particularly more snow, in the near term. If you’d like to be part of the fun, drop us a note. We welcome all body-positive women who live in New York or are just passing through.
Let’s make some memories together. 🙂
Looks like the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, not the Delacorte Fountain, which is in the Bronx.
You’re absolutely right! How in the world did we get that wrong?? Will fix.
Ah, wonderful memories (note spelling). Cedar Hill was one of my first encounters with your glorious website, and that picture has remained one of my all-time favourites.
Wikipedia lists dozens of festivals in December; whichever one/s you are celebrating, may they be happy and propitious. And let’s hope, once again, that next year can’t be as bad as this one has been. X
A great selection! It would be impossible to pick ONE favorite, so that is a tribute to your choices!
After a suitable amount of time, it would be interesting to know which picture was clicked on the most in this post (just from within this post that is – not clicks from their original appearances in previous posts).
There is a 1948 novel by Jacques Laurent “Les corps tranquilles” (“Quiet Bodies”, no translation available). Each time I look at your pictures, it is a remembrance of this title. Not erotic, not utterly beautiful or artistic, only the quiet life of friends, sharing the bubble of happiness they made.
I like the enthusiasm of the spa photograph. Although it is an indoor setting, it reminds me of “Les Grandes Baigneuses” by Renoir.
I have to say, the photo where a random stranger joins in; is one of the best photos on your collection. Her smile, her willingness to join in, her everything….
It is the epitome of everything you stand for
